I have to thank a 13 years old school kid, Rebecca Black for making a ridiculously hilarious music video clip called 'Friday' which keeps me entertained for the past three days. Thanks to that video, I giggled every time I see fried eggs in cafeteria, I unintentionally hummed the song while driving and I keep playing the song on my playlist just for the humor. Goodness me.

It's amazing how an absolute piece of crap got stuck in my head. And she's now living rent-free in my head. Damn!

It's not that I hate every pre-pubescent pop singers there are right now. Let alone hating pop music. In fact, I have always loved good pop songs. When I was a kid, I listened to lots of Pop Yeh Yeh musics thanks to my dad. Ayah Kahwin Lagi, Suzana and a bunch of other stuffs.

Then I had outgrown the old stuff and started to listen to KRU, Kool, Elite (God knows I miss 'em), Nsnyc, Westlife, S Club 7, Kylie Minogue, BSB (I writing the abbreviation because I am embarrassed already) and a bunch of others.

Yeah, I get it. You love pop music. But you hate Justin Bieber. How's he any different than your 90's boybands?

With Justin Bieber, it's different. I just can't tell if he's a 'he' or 'she'.

It's like he can't decide it for himself so he decided to look like both. His musics, voice and songs don't help me too. And I can't think anything in his songs to make fun of.

But, if you look at musicians like The New York Dolls, Patti Smith, Prince or any physically-misleading, androgynous musicians, you can always see that their physical appearance is merely antics. Nothing more and nothing less.

Plus, their musics speak loudly for themselves. The New York Dolls looked manly and wild when they were singing. Patti Smith (pic) looked like a ferocious, angry woman when she were singing. She inspired many girl in 70's to come off strong and independent.

It's like they intentionally wanted their appearance to be confusing as to push reluctant and baffled strangers to listen to their songs in order to figure out who they really were. It's genius.

And I do think Westlife, Nsnyc, KRU and those other pop boybands have great materials in their albums too.

With great music and lyrics, you can bet an ugly pig to be on your 'favorite artists' list. Well, if the pig can sing of course. Great music and horrible lyrics could be good too. Just look at Nirvana. What the hell mosquito got to do with libido? And what's with wanting your own friend to rape you again and again? (Nirvana fans should understand this)

And as for Rebecca Black, I really hope she will come out with new songs for another 6 days and of course about fried egg.

It is one of those things that are so bad that become soo good.

However, I do have to note that you know she's a 13 year old acting and Dressing like a 13 year old. It is refreshing compared to all the other teenage "entertainers" that are slutting it up every other day.
